Leon's Son is more than just a fictional fantasy book, it's a journey of a boy into a man. That said it was key that the finished books take us into a realm that we can actually feel and see. Characters and places must become part of the imagination for the reader to truly experience Athnan. My brother, Andrew Meyer, the illustrator of Unafraid, Leon's Son was able to perfectly sketch not only wonderful pictures, for the story, but breathe life into the project making it so much more authentic.
